To assist scientists who want to enter the forensics field of toxicology and assist in the collection, evaluation, and dissemination of information, we have gathered a list of available resources.




Tools, Apps, & Databases
The National Institute of Justice provided access to a number of free or low cost software tools, apps and databases to assist with investigations or research.
Illegal Online Pharmacies
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration has seen an increase in illegal online pharmacies selling and shipping counterfeit pills made with fentanyl and methamphetamine to unsuspecting customers in the United States who believe they are purchasing real pharmaceutical drugs such as Oxycodone, Adderall, Xanax, and other drugs from legitimate pharmacies.

Standards Spotlight
The Forensics Standards Spotlight highlights current and noteworthy developments in the forensic sciences. Articles in the Forensic Spotlight focus on topics such as fingerprinting, ballistics, toxicology, paint analysis, document validity, and other laboratory-based technology used in crime solving. Laboratories willing to share new and interesting information in the various fields of forensic science can submit their articles to us directly for review.
